Abstract :
An approximate boundary integral equation devoted to rough surfaces with small slopes is proposed. It is based on Meecham-Lysanov´s approximation and it can be numerically solved at low computational cost with a method of moments, as a result of the Block-Toeplitz structure of the associated matrix. Combined with impedance approximation, it provides an efficient tool to deal with three-dimensional scattering problems encountered in remote sensing from ocean or wet soils.
