  • Abstract
Ship characterization is investigated using the symmetric scattering characterization method (SSCM), which was introduced by Touzi and Charbonneau (2002). The SSCM method appears to be very promising for ship identification. Identification of ship targets with significant symmetric scattering is shown to lead to accurate pitch measurement, under certain conditions.
