Abstract :
This paper discusses challenges and opportunities in making commercially successful power electronic products that incorporate digital control. This paper reviews some of the differences between continuous and discrete time systems and controls. The remaining sections of this article examine specific applications, opportunities, and speculations regarding digital control in power electronic systems. Basic issues of control and specifically, digital control are also discussed.
