Abstract
A synthesis approach for dual-quasi-square-wave (DQSW) transformer-isolated DC-DC converters is proposed. The converters possess low stresses and can achieve soft switching. The required volume of passive components is smaller than that of the conventional transformer-isolated DC-DC converters with the same power rating. These features make them more attractive for the fast-response and high-power-density applications. Analyses of three new converters are performed as examples of the DQSW converter family. Simulations and experiments verified the theoretical principle.
