Abstract :
A designable polycrystalline laser medium as Y/sub 3/Sc/sub x/Al/sub (5-x)/O/sub 12/ have been developed by sintering method. The optical characteristics of these ceramics were investigated and the slope efficiency of 30% was established with the uncoated sample.
