Abstract
We introduce minimally invasive multiphoton fluorescence microendoscopes (350-1000 /spl mu/ in diameter) based on compound microlenses. We demonstrate multiphoton endoscopy in live animals by visualizing rodent hippocampal neurons and dendrites.
