Abstract :
The paper presents two techniques for assessment of switching equipment technical state after seism or short-circuit events: modal analysis for assessment of resistance structure and off-line techniques by contact resistance, kinetic characteristics and vibrations, for assessment of equipment current carrying ability. This techniques can with success be applied on the network equipment. There are presented experiments carried out on the SF6 circuit breakers of 420 kV / 2500 A and of 170 kV / 2500 A.
