Abstract
In this paper, a new control technique for low-harmonic content and unity-power factor active rectifiers is proposed. The common voltage-based control is replaced by the novel capacitor energy-based control, requiring only three sensors and the new modulation technique (PMM). Simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed system and in particular its very low harmonic pollution of the main currents.
