Abstract :
The research and development on recycling and re-use technologies for PV systems have been conducted as a NEDO project since 2001 in order to achieve low recycling cost and high recycling rates. As a result of analysis on recycling rates and cost estimation by the experiments for the existing technologies, the starting point of this R&D project is identified quantitatively. The LCA method is found to be useful for the analysis of PV production and recycling processes. The points of argument to establish PV recycling system are extracted from the results of investigations in existing recycling technologies in the related area.
