Applying ICT for educational purposes in the environmental sciences domain

This work describes a cost-effective solution to support SMEs in the adoption of environment-friendly practices and the introduction of related regulation and standards in their production and management processes. This solution is based on e-learning technologies and has been funded by the European Social Fund and the Spanish Biodiversity Foundation under the initiative Environmental Observatory for SMEs in South Galicia. Our e-learning approach includes: a Web portal to serve as a documentation repository and an e-learning management system to provide environmental-related training to active workers and professionals.
