  • Abstract
    In this paper propagation over irregular dielectric terrain with an integral equation approach is discussed. This paper also introduces a novel approximation to the CEFIE (coupled or combined electrical field integral equation), reducing it to the form of the EFIE (electric field integral equation) so that fast methods can be readily applied to situations where the dielectric properties of the surface must be taken into account. It is shown that the CEFIE is a good approximation for propagation modeling over terrain and is easily incorporated into fast integral equation methods.
