Abstract
We approach the problem of radiation localisation in three dimensions for a nonlinear ring cavity resonator based on a saturable absorber. While global regular structures have been predicted under weak absorption or similar approximations, or close to nascent optical bistability, we apply a quite general approach to the analysis of the spatio-temporal dynamics of the coherent field beyond the mean field limit.
