Abstract :
The power assist chair studied in this paper was designed to help the user´s standing-up motion. A pneumatic cylinder is connected with the seat by a link mechanism to transfer cylinder force to the seat. In order to minimize pneumatic pressure for the cylinder, the optimum design of the link mechanism was investigated in this paper.
