Abstract
The aim of this paper is to investigate if human is using prediction model based on gravitational acceleration for ball catching. We investigate the effect when the inexperienced acceleration of gravity, at 9.8 m/s/sup 2/, is applied. Virtual reality technologies are use in the environment where various accelerations exist. From the experimental results, we confirm that human is using prediction model for ball catching task. And TTC (time-to-contact) error has occurred in inexperienced acceleration, and we also confirmed that this TTC error influences the ability of task performance.
