Abstract
A new aluminium-point cell has been developed on the basis of a single filling method. A high purity aluminium rod, equipped with its seventy-five-element impurity analysis, was introduced in the new cell. The cell has been evaluated by measuring its freezing curve to show that the depression of the freezing temperature was only approximately half of the conventional one while agreed satisfactory with the theoretically derived value. Although more comprehensive evaluation on the newly developed cell should be conducted in the next stage, the present results may imply the effectiveness of the present design and method on the improvement of establishing an accurate aluminium point.
