Abstract :
We have previously shown that regularity as a deterministic chaos exists in the internal state of mobile robot during the autonomous behavior. We here explored experimentally with a miniature mobile robot how the fractal dimension relates with the environment. In correspondence with systematic alteration of environment, the dimension changed in a regular manner. Thus, the correlation dimension represents the complexity of the given environment or task for the robot fairly well.
