Abstract :
The maximum cross-correlation coefficient from blood pressure to heart rate, /spl rho//sub max/ is a good index for evaluating the effects of visual stimulation on the human. However /spl rho//sub max/ needs a considerably expensive and bulky equipment to measure continuous blood pressure. In the present study, a more compact and cheaper device measuring arterial pulse wave transmission time (PTT) in place of blood pressure has been developed to carry out the simultaneous experiment with multiple subjects watching comfortable or uncomfortable images.
