  • Abstract
In the case of uniform sampling, when the Nyquist condition is fulfilled, exact reconstruction of the time-continuous process can be achieved based on the observation of the samples. When the Nyquist condition is not fulfilled, the linear minimum mean square estimator (LMMSE) of the time-continuous process can be derived. It is shown that in some cases, surprisingly, unobserved timing jitter can improve the quality of the LMMSE.
