Abstract :
In this paper, an image classification scheme based on independent component analysis (ICA) is proposed. The scheme uses independent components as image templates for which an image is projected. The output of the image projection is fed to a classifier. Three classifiers are presented using this approach. The experimental results are presented, with extensive simulations, documenting how well this method classifies images.
