Abstract :
A digital tuning algorithm that achieves tight control over the value of on-chip resistors is described. The algorithm uses a single external resistor and does not require accurate reference voltage. Terminations for a high speed transceiver are implemented using the algorithm and measurement results show adequate performance across process, temperature, and supply voltage.
