Abstract :
The transfinite element method is used to decompose complex electromagnetic domains into smaller components. These smaller components are solved parametrically, providing generalized reduced order models of electromagnetic accuracy to be used in circuit simulation. The efficiency of this combined electromagnetic-circuit approach is illustrated with the optimization of a four-pole waveguide filter.
