Abstract
Smart antennas are an important factor for wireless improvement because they allow the reduction of interference and so increase the capacity of the cell. A related problem to these antennas is the determination of the direction of arrival (DOA) of a signal. This problem has been solved through several algorithms. When a CDMA environment is used, however, the techniques offer weak DOA estimation, because they are not able to do a code separation. This work intends to show this problem and propose a technique for estimation of DOA in a CDMA multiuser environment.
