Abstract
The design of multibeam type antennas is required in many antenna problems, and typically in space telecommunication applications. Various synthesis methods have been developed for the analysis and design of this class of antenna; however little attention has been paid, in synthesis-related endeavors, to the issue of how to efficiently describe the far field of the antenna for this purpose. An efficient wavelet representation is presented for the far field of a 2D array on an hexagonal lattice.
