Abstract :
A design of chip antennas providing low manufacturing cost and great design flexibility is presented. The antenna consists of a dielectric substrate with a printed radiating element and two metal clips. The antenna is printed on a standard circuit board, such as FR4, providing a compact surface mount antenna. The antenna design can be easily changed at any stage of product development without any special tooling costs involved.
