Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the steady-state analysis and design of an sinusoidal input/output AC to AC power supply with DC current link. Despite many advantages of such a structure, its application in fixed frequency power supplies has received very little attention in the literature. Steady-state modeling of the system is carried out. Unity power factor operation of the system is explained. A systematic analysis is presented based on Fourier Series of PWM waveforms. Useful closed form expressions are obtained to simplify design task. Experimental results obtained from a DSP-based laboratory type setup are presented and compared with theoretical results.
