Abstract
A novel and simple kind of dual-band printed G-shaped monopole antenna is proposed. The antenna consists of a G-shaped monopole and a microstrip feedline, which provide two resonant paths of different lengths to achieve the 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz dual-band operation for WLAN applications. Reasonably large impedance matching bandwidth and well behaved radiation patterns have been observed in simulation. Comparison with measurements shows good agreement.
