Abstract :
Uses the ECO-COSM approach to incorporating fuzzy sets in the information representation and processing mechanism of individual based ecological models is presented. Results suggest that this approach can be used for developing individual-based models to address spatially explicit ecological problems that are dependent on being based in a geographic information systems environment.
