Abstract
In grid computing, the evaluation and mensuration of shared resources is the key to allocate and manage them. However, it is rather difficult to find a fixed analytic formula to calculate the resource price due to geographical distribution, heterogeneity, indeterminability, and large scale in grid. This paper presents a suite of dynamic value models for grid resource, and relevant strategies for resource allocation. Such models mainly reflect the dynamics, fairness, stability, and no enforcement within grid price architecture, as well as they are also the direct foundation of grid application schedule, load balancing, quality of service (QoS).
