Abstract
By using state-observer theory and H∞ theory in descriptor systems, a method of designing observer-based controllers against actuator failures for descriptor systems is presented. The designed controller can ensure that the closed-loop system with actuator failures is regular, impulse-free, stable and keeps certain H∞ performance in the event of actuator failures. A numerical example shows the feasibility and effect of the proposed method.
