Abstract
The algorithms of finding the state feedback gain matrix to assign characteristic polynomial in the Roesser model of 2-D singular systems are investigated. The closed-loop system of Roesser model of 2-D singular system is obtained via the state feedback. The properties of the characteristic polynomial of this closed-loop system are analyzed in theory. The method for characteristic polynomial assignment of 2-D singular systems with single-input is derived by finding the state feedback gain matrix. Using dyadic structure, this method can also be applied to assign characteristic polynomial in the multi-input case. An illustrative example demonstrates the validity of this method.
