Abstract
DiffServ (differentiated services) can provide for corresponsive quality of service according to different consumers with different service requirements. TCP flows play a very important part in Internet. TCP congestion control algorithm based on window limits bandwidth required fairly with big RTT link, so that it limits its support with DiffServ. This paper presents an active queue mechanism, EBLUE, to support DiffServ. By combining EBLUE with an enhanced TCP congestion control mechanism, we investigate how TCP supports assured service and achieves fair bandwidth share among connections.
