Abstract
We develop an efficient power allocation scheme which minimizes the lower bound of the average bit error rate (BER) for a multi-antenna wireless communication system with a V-BLAST detection. The scheme also minimizes the average block error rate. It provides a substantially lower error rates than the original V-BLAST. The corresponding signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gains can be observed to several decibels.
