Abstract :
Attenuation of positive-medial dispersion fiber using a ring-core profile has been successfully decreased from 0.240 dB/km to 0.210 dB/km keeping large Aeff as 125 /spl mu/m/sup 2/. Attenuation of P-MDF using a conventional profile was also decreased as low as 0.180 dB/km.
