Abstract :
In this paper we introduce new and review existing performance models for synchronous bufferless optical packet switched networks employing full wavelength conversion. In particular, we present a novel asymmetric arrival model, which is suitable for studying the effects of non-uniform traffic. We also present an arrival model suitable for networks where looping should not occur. Numerical evaluations and a comparison study of the presented arrival models are reported.
