Abstract
We consider optical signal switching based on Bragg reflectors, recorded in a GaAs waveguide. In order to achieve maximal switching contrast and high operating speed the optimisation of the basic parameters of such elements has been carried out. The proposed elements with optimised structure make it possible to switch optical channels with frequency up to 200 GHz and contrast 30 dB. At that the switching energy is reasonable for many applications.
