Abstract :
We demonstrate averaged-DOP monitoring of WDM channels for simultaneous PMD compensation. We achieve a significant power penalty reduction > 10 dB using this scheme. The 2%-worst-case compensated performance of averaged-BER is improved by two orders of magnitude.
