Abstract :
Chirped-pulse amplification of a modelocked Yb fiber laser in a large mode-area polarization-maintaining Yb-fiber using a nonlinearly-chirped fiber Bragg-grating stretcher is demonstrated. Pulses with 8 nm bandwidth are amplified to 43 /spl mu/J and 1000x recompressed to 900 fs.
