Abstract :
An all-optical shift register is demonstrated at 10 GHz and 10 Gb/s using a Sagnac interferometer with two semiconductor optical amplifiers for nonlinear switching and feedback amplification. Arbitrary pattern profiles could recirculate stably for hours.
