Abstract :
We have developed an ultra-low jitter GS-LD module using a self-pulse signal feedback mechanism. Optical feedback improves time jitter under certain conditions. We successfully observed sub-picosecond time jitter at a modulation range of between 1 GHz and 7 GHz. In addition, we anticipate a next generation module with a wider tuning range.
