Abstract
A comprehensive analysis of common mode (CM) EMI is conducted for three-phase UPS systems. The analysis is based on both the detailed circuit model and the common mode equivalent circuit model. The parasitic component parameters used in the models are extracted for a 20 kVA UPS, which is used in the experimental verification. The CM noise voltage source and coupling paths are identified. The contributions of the stray parameters CM choke, as well as, battery cable are discussed. Some mitigation methods are proposed. The conclusions are validated through experiment results.
