Abstract :
This work presents a procedure to generate two-diversity correlated time-variant channels impulse response, which guarantees a given crosscorrelation value between the envelope of the received signals. This procedure relates the envelope crosscorrelation coefficient of the diversity branches and the crosscorrelation coefficients for the different multipath contributions that form the time-variant channel impulse response. This procedure can aid researchers in simulating correlated time-variant channels impulse response, which can be used to study the effect of the diversity envelope crosscorrelation on the performance of diversity systems which consider combining schemes at post-detection. Simulation results confirm the accuracy of the procedure.
