  • Abstract
The paper proposes a novel blind channel estimation algorithm for MIMO-OFDM systems by exploiting the guard interval (GI) diversity at the transmitter. This approach also offers a new MIMO-OFDM model with the GI diversity. The proposed blind channel estimator uses second-order cyclostationary statistics to yield unique channel estimates. Relying on the GI diversity, the blind estimator deals with subchannels individually. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the non-constant precoding approach in terms of mean-square-error performance.
