Abstract :
Transmit antenna diversity without feedback has been widely investigated for various systems. In addition, space-time codes have been proposed and investigated extensively to exploit spatial diversity. Apart from these approaches, there is a different method that can provide diversity gain using multiple antennas with conventional coding. This approach is investigated with eigenbeamforming (without feedback). An optimization is considered to take into account spatial correlation.
