Abstract
The broadbandness estimation of scanning waveguide antenna arrays under the criteria of given relative operation frequency bandwidth, frequency band and engagement factor is presented. Dependencies of maximum operation frequency bandwidth on arrangement geometry of radiators with complex cross-section are obtained for single waveguide and single beamwidth mode of antenna operation. Design equations for the estimation of operation frequency bandwidth are presented for chosen radiator sizes and geometry of phased antenna arrays (array spacing, angle of radiator arrangement in the oblique coordinates).
