Abstract
The paper calculates intra-cell interference introduced by the addition of relays in a CDMA type cellular network. Signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) contours are plotted to show the spatial variation. Outage contours show the areas where signals fall below threshold due to the addition of relays. The study aims to give an optimum number of relays for a given SIR threshold.
