Abstract
We present a study that takes into account the models presented in the literature to depict the QoS and the charging strategies in a generalized multimedia environment, with particular regard to 3G mobile communication systems. In particular, we consider different services for CDMA-like systems, and we discuss how it is possible to obtain an efficient allocation for all flows, by considering a mathematical description of the users´ satisfaction which integrates the constraints about quality of service. At the same time, the provider revenue is analyzed, in order to give both simple results and possibilities of improvement.
