Abstract
We investigate the impact of mobile speed on the performance of a W-CDMA network. The analysis has been carried out using a very complex simulation tool which takes into account propagation, users mobility, voice and data users and the main radio resource management strategies (RRM) in both the uplink and downlink. The results show that in the presence of peaks of offered traffic, the performance of the network is strongly dependent on the mobile speed.
