Abstract
QoS support for Internet new applications is necessary to meet end-to-end requirements such as bandwidth, delay, jitter and packet loss. We have focused on DiffServ architecture to improve its accuracy. We proposed a new algorithm, called model predictive control scheduling (MPCS) to schedule differentiated buffers in routers. Model predictive control is used as the controller. The simulation results show that the MPCS can be used as a solution for the scheduling problem.
