  • Abstract
    A method to estimate direction of arrival (DoA) based on the ESPRIT algorithm is proposed for a 7-element regular hexagonal shaped electronically steerable parasitic array radiator (ESPAR) antenna. Tu verify the statistical performance of the proposed method, computer simulations on estimating DoA are conducted. The results show that the method can resolve up to three uncorrelated impinging signals incoming from different angles, and can provide an estimate with less than 0.65° of error for any DoA in the azimuth plane.
