  • Abstract
Considering multi-carrier code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) for mobile radio transmission, it is usually assumed that the transmission channel is either known at the MC-CDMA receiver (Rx) or at the MC-CDMA transmitter (Tx). Correspondingly, the inhence of the fading channel is either post-equalized at Rx or pre-equalized at Tx. In this paper, we assume that knowledge of the fading channel is available at both sides, Tx and Rx. Under this assumption we investigate the the MC-CDMA single-user hounds for combined-equalization are derived. It turns out, that application of combined-equalization leads to new single-user hounds, which are signilicantly better than the well-known matched filter (MF) hounds for MC. CDMA. In addition. it is emphasized that the performed analysis and the given bounds are valid for any ortiognnal frequencydivision multiplexiug-code-division multiplexing (OFDM-CDM) based system.
